Less stressful travel

This week can be stressful for travelers with the upcoming holiday, Thanksgiving. Some areas are expecting some snow or ice on Wednesday night. This can mean delays, short tempers, hungry passengers, etc.

Some airlines have been taking measures to make airports and air travel less stressful. Here are a few of them according to HuffingtonPost.com

Zen Rooms: A place for some relaxation before your flight for yoga or meditation. The airports with these rooms are in San Francisco International Airport, California, Burlington International Airport in Vermont, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico, and Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina

Security Checkpoint Lounge: Springhill Suites by Marriott teamed up with TSA to make relaxing lounges at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport through Dec. 31st in Terminal E, gate E18.

Puppies!: You can find therapy dogs in LAX, San Jose International, and Miami airport walking around to bring joy!

Healthier Food Options: 76% of airport restaurants have at least one cholesterol-free veggie entree. Denver, Detroit, and Chicago are the best 3 for healthy options.

Kid-free zones: There are only a few airlines offering this option: Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, and Scoot Airlines.

Inflight nannies: There is an inflight nanny service where trained nannies will help with screaming children.

Airport nap rooms: Not just for children. These are found mostly abroad.

Better naps on planes: Virgin Atlantic has a “snooze zone” on their overnight flights. A couple would pay for the 3rd seat and create a bed with the extra space.

Happy Travels!
